Weather permitting, the Ocean County Mosquito Commission plans to treat a section of Brick Twp. and Toms River Twp. in an ongoing effort to control adult mosquito populations.
The spraying of adult mosquitoes using ground application equipment, will tentatively take place Wednesday, Sept. 2nd between the hours of 4AM and 6AM, with a rain date of Thursday,
Sept. 3rd between 4AM and 6AM. Ground application will be done by truck mounted sprayer using Scourge, a trade name for resmethrin, applied at ultra low volumes.
The treatment areas will be in a section of Brick Twp. bordered by Midstreams Rd. to the north and Coral Dr. to the east, Rainbow Dr. to the south and Meridan Dr. to the west.
Also, a section of Toms River Twp. bordered by Shadow Oaks Dr. to the west, Verdant Rd. to the south, Fairview Dr. from Verdant Rd. to Oak Glen Rd. to the east and Acorn Dr. to the north.
